Airport pickup & welcome cocktails and dinner

Welcome to Mexico, ¡EXPLORERS! Nestled in the heart of Mexico, Guanajuato is a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its rich history, vibrant culture, and stunning architecture. We will meet you at the airport, and whisk you away to your well-appointed boutique hotel in the City Centre. Meet your fellow ¡EXPLORERS! and group guide at our WELCOME TOAST.  You’ll be mesmerized by the views of Teatro Juarez, as you enjoy a delicious dinner at the traditional restaurants at The Jardin.

DAY 1

GUANAJUATO, GUANAJUATO

Mines, momias and heroes… Just to name a few!

Guanajuato is famous for many things. Day two will be spent ¡EXPLORING! What Guanajuato is known for? Guanajuato is a UNESCO World Heritage site, there are countless points of interest. world renowned mummies, silver and gold mines, churches, museums, galleries and so much more. Guanajuato will mesmerize you with its awe inspiring beauty, small town charm and the friendliness of its people.

 

Meals: breakfast, mezcal tasting, and dinner.

CALLEJONES DE GUANAJUATO

Lose yourself in the labyrinth of colorful!

¡EXPLORERS! will start the day with a traditional Guanajuato breakfast ( maybe gorditas). Leisurely roam the tiny narrow alleyways that crisscross through the city, up and down the mountainside and under the streets. Discover knucks and crannies of Guanajuato. Colorful hillside homes. The afternoon is free, so we recommend taking a moment to sit at one of the lovely outdoor cafes to people watch and soak in the beauty and tranquility of the City Centre. Or, maybe walk up the University steps and be awe struck by the view that awaits you atop the steps. Everywhere you turn, there's something amazing to behold.  We’ll regroup, and end the day with a Mexican cooking class.

DAY 4

FLORA & FAUNA GUANAJUATO STYLE

Guanajuato abounds with natural beauty… Let’s EXPLORE it!

¡EXPLORERS! will start the day hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking or 4x4ing… so much to see and do. Guanajuato offers an extensive array of outdoor activities. Let’s start our morning in Presa De La Olla, one of Guanajuato’s oldest neighborhoods and government center. Art classes, yoga classes, ceramics, cooking and salsa dancing are just a few of the many classes we offer. Take one, take all! Make memories to last a lifetime. End the day sipping a delectable cocktail whilst watching the sunset behind the beautiful hills of Guanajuato.

DOLORES HIDALGO & SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE

Visit the Pueblo Mágico of Dolores Hidalgo, dubbed the “Cradle of Independence”. 

Explore Dolores Hidalgo’s ceramic industry and world-renowned ice creams.

Departing from Guanajuato City through the rustic mountain town of Santa Rosa, known for their beautiful ceramics. ¡EXPLORERS! continue their journey towards Dolores Hidalgo to explore the town's well-preserved colonial architecture, charming streets, and historic buildings. Dolores Hidalgo is famous for its role in the Mexican War of Independence, and visitors can learn about this important event by visiting the town's Independence Museum and the famous bell tower where the call to arms was made. Stroll the beautiful tree lined plaza, partake in the hand-made ice creams the town is known for and shop in quaint stores famous for their brightly colored ceramics.

After a short stop in Dolores Hidalgo, a private tour of the wine route which meanders between Dolores Hidalgo and San Miguel de Allende. We will visit two exclusive vineyards in the region. The first is an exclusive and luxurious vineyard, where they produce wine; as well as, lavender and olive oil.

 

Next, the tour heads to San Miguel de Allende, a Unesco World Heritage site famous for its stunning colonial architecture, vibrant arts scene, and lively atmosphere. The second vineyard will teach our visitors a little more about the mechanics of wine-making. Winemakers will explain about the process of wine-making from the grape buds to the harvest, fermentation and bottling of the wines. In each vineyard ¡EXPLORERS! will taste locally produced wines along with locally made cheeses.

DAY 5

SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE

San Miguel de Allende immersion, at its finest.  

¡EXPLORERS! will enjoy a guided tour of the town's most iconic landmarks, including its impressive churches, plazas, and historic buildings. Take a leisurely stroll through La Fabrica Aurora.  Roam the streets of the Jardin Allende, and take in the breathtaking views of the Parroquia.  Savor the delicious fare at Churros y Chocolates San Agustin.  Shop to your heart's content in the inumberable stores that SMA possesses. The knowledgeable guides will provide historical and cultural insights that bring the town's past to life.

DAY 6

¡HASTA PRONTO, MI MEXICO LINDO!

Farewell, ¡EXPLORERS!

¡EXPLORERS! Your journey will culminate with a final traditional Mexican breakfast. Let’s enjoy your final moments with your new friends with memories of the past week, and plans for your next adventure.
